Conditions For $5,500 Cadillac Lyriq Discount Revealed

[ad_1]

Last week, we reported that certain buyers of the Cadillac Lyriq 2023 would be eligible for a $5,500 discount. However, at the time, it was unclear how customers could obtain this discount. Luckily, we now have some details on this issue.

According to report by Detroit Free Press, the luxury brand’s $5,500 discount offer was extended to Cadillac Lyriq buyers who agreed to sign a nondisclosure agreement and allow Cadillac to track how the vehicle was used. Only 20 customers were offered the discount, and most of them were located in Detroit, New York, and Los Angeles, three cities where Lyriq was shipping priority.

A Cadillac spokesperson told the publication that these “early adopter studies” are typically conducted internally with Cadillac employees, and that this experiment with Lyriq is the first time data has been collected from actual buyers. The aim of the study was to get a more detailed view of Lyriq owners’ driving habits, along with catching potential problems with luxury electric crossovers early on. The study will provide valuable data to Cadillac and its parent company, General Motors, to help the automaker launch future Lyriq models as well as future electric vehicles.

Cadillac extended a private offer to select customers in June, giving them the option to receive a $5,500 cash allowance for the new Lyriq, purchased between June 28.th and August 1st, in return for his participation in this study. For reference, the Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition 2023 starts at $59,900, while the upcoming Luxury RWD model starts at $62,900 and the Luxury AWD model starts at $64,900.
