Here’s When Production Of The 2023 Cadillac Escalade Will Start

Cadillac Society already know exactly when the 2023 Cadillac Escalade will start rolling off the assembly line.

According to our sources, the Cadillac Escalade 2023 will go into production on June 18^th2022 at the Arlington plant in Texas, where full-size luxury SUVs have been built since being introduced back in 1998. In addition, 2023 will represent the third model year of the current fifth generation.

As a reminder, the Cadillac Escalade 2023 continues to drive on the T1 vehicle platform and is offered with two engine options for the “regular” model. The first is a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 petrol engine (production code L87), which is capable of 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This engine is standard on the Escalade and models with this bike wear the 600 badge on the lift doors. Meanwhile, a 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine (production code LM2) is optional. It’s rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and models with these engines sport the 600D badge on the back. Both engines are mated to a Cadillac 10-speed automatic transmission.

Joining the Escalade lineup for the 2023 model year is the all-new high-performance Cadillac Escalade-V, which features a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine (production code LT4) tuned to produce 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque. , making it the most powerful Cadillac ever built. It is the first SUV to join the V Series high-performance luxury vehicle lineup, placed alongside the CT4-V, CT5-V, CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing sedans.

Changes for the model year 2023 Escalade include five new exterior paint color options, including Radiant Red Tintcoat, Argent Silver Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, and Dark Emerald Metallic. In addition, the 2023 model year will also add Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) headlights. Several other minor changes and updates will also be available for the 2023 model year, and we’ll be outlining them soon here at Cadillac Society.

Interestingly, Super Cruise availability is limited for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade due to the ongoing global microchip shortage. However, at this time, it is unclear whether the semi-autonomous driver assistance feature will return for the 2023 model year, or whether the constraints will remain.
