DS 7 Crossback Facelift Spying Inside Out With A Little Camouflage

The DS 7 Crossback was officially unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show and is starting to show its age. There are more modern and sophisticated SUVs on the European market today and the French luxury automaker is preparing a mid-cycle refresh for the 7 in a bid to keep demand high. We have photos of the first spies with the facelifted models and they show a slight visual change.

Captured by our photographers in France, this prototype wears minimal camouflage covering the front fascia. We’re struggling to find a major revision here, although we do see the radiator grille has a new mesh design with chrome inserts. There is also a new lip diffuser attached to the front bumper and there may be modifications to the internal graphics of the headlights.

Nothing catches our eye on the side, except for the black alloy wheels which are likely temporary alloys for this test car. The black finish has seen better days as there are visible scratches on each wheel. The camouflage at the rear hides most of the taillights and this could mean the cluster could be given a slight redesign. The rear bumper with integrated diffuser and dual exhaust pipes looks unchanged.

Our photographer also sent us two photos of the interior and it’s probably safe to say that in-cab changes are kept to a minimum. In fact, we didn’t see any changes as the dashboard, seats and trim all seem to match what the DS 7 Crossback currently offers in certain markets.

More significant changes could occur under the hood where the E-Tense hybrid model could be given more power. According to unofficial information, an output of up to 360 horsepower can be expected, as well as an increase in all-electric range. Updated safety and assist systems, as well as improved infotainment technology, can also be expected when the facelifted DS 7 Crossback debuts later this year. It will be interesting to see if the French President will also get a revised model.
