Alfa Romeo Tonale Teased For The Umpteenth Time

[ad_1]

Alfa Romeo seems very excited about the debut of the new Tonale. The Italian manufacturer is eager to show us its new product, despite having to wait exactly one more week for full disclosure. Until then, Alfa looks set to continue showing us the small parts of the crossover, and today we have not one but two new teasers to share with you.

These two short clips were posted on social media – one on Facebook and one in Indonesia. The first video hints at the front fascia design and the three-dimensional grille pattern. The Scudetto Alfa shield, which takes a central place in the grille, introduces its new form which is an evolution of what we know from the Giulia and Stelvio.

Another short clip takes us into the cabin and shows us a small section of the driver’s seat with an embroidered Alfa Romeo logo and contrasting red stitching over black leather. We also get to see the steering wheel, which features two different materials – smooth leather on the outside and perforated leather on the inside. Last but not least, the teaser also shows us the Italian flag as a small badge on one of the rearview mirrors.

We’ve seen the Tonale test on public roads a few times and we know pretty much everything about how it looks. However, the little design elements that Alfa teased remain invisible to the eye thanks to its disguise, which at least leaves some excitement for its full and official debut.

We don’t know what’s hidden under the hood, but there is speculation about a turbocharged 1.3-liter engine, similar to the one found in the Tonale concept. Competitors Audi Q3, BMW X1, Lexus UX, and Mercedes-Benz GLA are confirmed to get a powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain and there may be additional electric or traditional combustion engines available.
