The 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will mark the second year of the super sedan model, and Cadillac Society have now learned that it will be getting a new sporty exterior color known as Maverick Noir Frost.
Set to be exclusive to the V-Series Blackwing high-performance sedan, the Maverick Noir Frost (production code GNW) will replace Dark Emerald Frost (production code G7W), which was offered for a limited time on the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing (and CT4-V Blackwing) before discontinued. Like Dark Emerald Frost, Maverick Noir Frost will be a limited edition exterior color available for an additional fee, although the actual cost is unclear as of this writing.

Maverick Noir Frost will be available along with certain interior colorways, including:
- Jet Black with Jet Black Accent
- Natural Tan with Jet Black Accent
- Sky Cool Gray with Jet Black Accents
It is not offered with the following interior color combinations:
- Whisper Beige with Jet Black Accents
- Sedona Sauvage with Jet Black Accents
While there are no photos yet of this new exterior color, the “Frost” moniker likely means it will be another matte finish. If that’s the case, it will be the second matte exterior paint offered on the Blackwing V-Series super sedan after the aforementioned Dark Emerald Frost, and the fourth matte finish offered by the luxury brand in its history. Another matte color, Crystal White Frost, was offered in 2016, exclusively on the ATS-V and CTS-V Crystal White Frost Edition models. In 2013, 100 units of the CTS-V Coupe were painted in a matte Silver Frost color.
As a reminder, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 2023 is powered by the luxury marque’s 6.2L supercharged V8 engine (production code LT4), which makes 669 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque, making it the most powerful Caddy ever built. . All that power meets the curb exclusively via the two rear wheels via a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional 10-speed automatic.
