Here’s The New Mahogany Metallic Exterior Color

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV add three new exterior colors to their palette: Galactic Gray Metallic, Wilder Metallic and Mahogany Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Mahogany hue.

With production code G48 and touch paint code WA-613G, Mahogany Metallic is one of nine exterior colors offered on the full-size luxury SUV, which include:

  • Black Crow
  • Crystal White Tricoat
  • Dark Moon Blue Metallic
  • Infrared Tintcoat
  • Metallic Sandstone
  • Metallic Steel Satin
  • Galactic Gray Metallic (new for 2022)
  • Metallic Mahogany (new for 2022)
  • Wilder Metallic (new for 2022)

The Metallic Mahogany color is a surcharge item that adds an additional $625 to the vehicle price. It can be combined with all six interior colorways:

  • Brandy with a Very Dark Accent
  • Dark Auburn with Jet Black Accents
  • Deep black
  • Parchment with Jet Black Accent
  • Beige Whisper with Gideon Accent
  • Whisper Beige with Jet Black Accents

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade represents the second model year of the all-new fifth-generation Escalade, which received a few minor changes. These include three new exterior colors, a new Buckle-To-Drive feature, the removal of the cabin air ionizer feature and the removal of the NFC mobile pairing feature.

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade will continue to be offered in the regular-length model or the extended-length Escalade ESV, which has a 12-inch longer wheelbase. This luxury SUV is offered with two engine options: a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 petrol motor (production code L87) with 420 horsepower and 460 foot-pounds of torque, or a 3.0L I6 turbo-diesel (production code LM2) rated at 277. horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to the vehicle’s rear axle or to all four wheels.

Based on Cadillac’s Y-trim level strategy, five trim levels are offered, including Basic Luxury, followed by Premium Luxury and Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport and Sport Platinum.
