Stefan Marjoram is a photographer, filmmaker and artist. That last part will become clear when you look at what he uploads to his personal YouTube channel. Stefan has several automotive drawing tutorials that make his work easy to understand.
The newest item from Marjoram is the legendary Ford GT40. As with basically every vehicle Stefan draws, it all starts with the most important part: the tires.
From there, Marjoram quickly began developing the rest of his vehicle with his pen. The Ford GT40 begins to take shape thanks to the lines of its front and rear fenders. Next comes the low roof, and the iconic silhouette appears before you.
Sketches like this of course require skill to make them well. But Stefan has a way of explaining his work that makes it quite easy to follow. Your final version probably won’t come out neatly, but I’m sure you’ll do a better job than you initially expected.
If the Ford GT40 isn’t your thing, Stefan has lots of other drawing tutorials on his YouTube channel. From boxy vintage off-road cars to modern Formula One race cars, there’s something for everyone there.
And if you don’t want to grab paper and pencil, the video itself is a great way to spend a few minutes.
Motor1’s view: Fans must subscribe to Stefan’s channel automotive works of art. His calm delivery, combined with quality sketches, provides a pleasant escape from the less relaxing corners of the Internet.
