While the new 2027 Grand Sport and Grand Sport The car will also get the automaker’s new 6.7-liter LS6 V8 engine.
The naturally aspirated engine produces 535 horsepower and 520 pound-feet of torque, making it “the most powerful standard engine ever offered in a Corvette.” The engine has a 13.0:1 compression ratio, 95-millimeter throttle body, “tunnel ram intake,” forged pistons and rods, and a new lubrication system. The 6.2-liter V8 engine produces up to 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.
Chevrolet also updated the Stingray’s Magnetic Ride Control software. Those who opt for the ZR1 Performance Pack get a shorter final drive ratio of 5.56:1, revised aerodynamics, and newly developed Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires.
The 2026 Corvette Stingray starts at $72,495, including a $2,495 destination charge. We expect the Stingray’s price to increase with the new powertrain and other tweaks, and wouldn’t be surprised if it started closer to $75,000. The updated Corvette will go on sale sometime this summer.
