Gordon Murray T.50s: Coming This Year

  • The T.50 Niki Lauda is a track-only evolution with 761 hp of the original T.50.
  • It features a 3.9-liter V12 that revs up to 12,100 rpm.
  • All 25 cars were sold, with deliveries expected by the end of the year.

Would you believe that Gordon Murray’s T.50 supercar is already six years old? It seems like just yesterday the former McLaren F1 designer unveiled his radical fan-powered coupe. Since its debut in 2020, the 100 T.50 units sold on the road have sold out quickly. But don’t worry, a more extreme version of the T.50 is coming this year.

Niki Lauda’s T.50s are Gordon Murray Automotive’s track-focused 761-horsepower riff on the original T.50. It packs serious aerodynamic hardware and a $3.0 million price tag. The first T.50 concept debuted in 2021, but finally, GMA’s new track toy is almost ready for production.

Today, the company has released new details about the upcoming T.50, including some gorgeous photos of the supercar testing on track at the Bahrain International Circuit. Racing legend Dario Franchitti was behind the wheel, and he had nothing but good things to say about the supercar.

“The T.50 is the most exciting car I have ever driven,” said Franchitti.

“For sheer fun factor, this model surpasses all other track-only models, my favorite supercar of all time, and even the race car I drove to several world championship wins. Gordon was determined to create the greatest track driving experience ever. The team has gone above and beyond. Feedback, responsiveness, performance, sound, visibility, braking, stability… everything… Perfect.”
