2023 Cadillac Escalade Adaptive Headlights Gone For Rest of Model Year

As first reported by Cadillac Society in July, the Cadillac Escalade 2023 received the new Adaptive Beam Headlight technology. Some time later, the feature became unavailable for the early 2023 model year. Now, though, Cadillac Society have learned that the feature will not be available at all for the remainder of the 2023 model year.

As a reminder, the Adaptive Headlight System for the Cadillac Escalade 2023 uses a high-speed computer with advanced algorithms that can scan the driver’s field of view more than 30 times per second, changing the LED headlight coverage based on the vehicles, motorcycles and pedestrians that appear in the field of view. driver. All of this results in automatic adjustment of the headlight beam, providing better forward illumination for the driver while preventing glare for oncoming drivers.

Adaptive Headlights are an optional addition to the Escalade Premium Luxury and Sport trim and are included as part of the Touring Package (production code ST1). The technology is standard on Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum and Escalade-V. It’s not available at all at the Escalade Luxury base.

Source says Cadillac Society that validation testing of the Adaptive Beam Headlight System is currently underway, and the technology has not yet been approved for sale in the US. However, this technology is available for the Escalade in the Canadian market.

Prices for the 2023 Cadillac Escalade start at $79,590 for the rear-wheel-drive Luxury base trim, while the extended Escalade ESV starts at $82,590 for the rear-wheel-drive Luxury base trim. Production of the Cadillac Escalade 2023, which uses the T1 platform, begins July 18th at the Arlington plant in Texas.
