Brabus Masterpiece Is A Maybach S-Class With Nearly 600 HP, Turquoise Interior

Brabus has done its magic before on the latest-generation Mercedes S-Class, but this is the first time the German tuner has managed to get its hands on a stretched version of the Maybach. It’s called “600 Masterpieces” (Surely) and is based on the S580 4Matic with V8. Oddly enough, the cheesy-looking engine cover shows the company logo flanked by the two large V12 logos reserved for the flagship S680 model.

Creepy looking, the reinforced luxury sedan has gained a subtle body kit with carbon fiber components featuring a glossy or matte finish to pair with the dark chrome elements. Brabus says these aftermarket parts are more than just for show because they play a functional role. For example, the front spoiler lip has been refined in the wind tunnel to reduce front axle lift and better direct airflow to the front brakes and radiator.

At the rear, the carbon diffuser has two large holes for the large rectangular tips of the custom sports exhaust. The slain Maybach S-Class uses the tuner’s famous Monoblock alloy wheels, measuring 22 inches with a dark chrome look. These new shoes come with Pirelli P Zero tires 265/35 ZR22 up front and 305/30 ZR22 rear. Engineers from Bottrop have also brought the extra-long saloon closer to the road by 20 millimeters (0.8 inches) after tweaking the air suspension.

As the name implies, the 600 Masterpiece has a twin-turbo V8 engine that is massaged to produce 600 PS, which makes 591 hp (441 kW). With an incredible peak torque of 590 lb-ft (800 Nm), the upgraded Maybach S-Class now reaches 62 mph (100 km/h) from rest in just four and a half seconds. Flat, high-end limousines reach an electronically limited 155 mph (250 km/h).

The real highlight is the moment you open the door as Brabus has covered the interior of the car in its finest leather, featuring a striking turquoise finish. This extends to the floor mats and headliner while the abundant carbon fiber treatment continues inside, even to the pedals with their rubberized points to avoid slippage.

If these interiors are too much for your taste, the sky is the limit for customizing the Maybach S-Class as Brabus builds these cars to the exact specifications provided by their owners.
