BMW X5, X6 Show Off Redesign Similarities In Unofficial Renderings

[ad_1]

BMW has two facelifted crossovers in development, and new, unofficial renderings feature their updated designs. We’ve seen plenty of spy shots of the X5 and X6 crossovers, and both have featured a camouflaged front fascia. New renderings of our friends on Koles.ru peel that camo for a glimpse of their stylish refresh.

Although the two are different models in the BMW lineup, they also wear the face of the BMW family, and their respective redesigns bring the two closer together. The rendering shows a pair of normal-sized kidney grilles sitting above the wide opening of the bottom grille. Bracketing all of that is a pair of intakes pushed into the lower bumper corners and refreshed headlights.

Another story behind. Spy shots of the BMW X5 show the crossover with the camo covering the entire rear fascia, which hides the new taillights and a revamped bumper design. The changes are visible in the rendering. The X6 has no camouflage on the rear as BMW has not made any changes to the rear of the model. It looks unchanged from what is on sale now.

We know the X6 is getting a major upgrade on the inside with the addition of the company’s latest dual-screen setup that uses the display for the dashboard-mounted gauge cluster and infotainment system. We haven’t taken a peek inside the X5 to see if the interior has been updated too, and the renderings aren’t helping either.

While both get an updated look and new technology, the powertrain lineup is likely to remain unchanged from the current model. We’ll know for sure later this year. We expect the BMW X5 to debut before the end of 2022, with rumors suggesting that production will begin in April 2023. The X6 could debut as early as next year, which will start production in the second half of 2023. It will arrive as a 2024 model.
