Cadillac Mexico Sales Up 29 Percent In January 2022

Sales of Cadillac Mexico increased 29 percent to 90 units in January 2022 compared to January 2021.

Cadillac Society Take

After a brief disruption to the brand’s strong growth trajectory in the local market during November and December 2021, Cadillac Mexico’s sales resumed healthy growth in January. The luxury brand kicked off calendar year 2022 with a strong business performance in Mexico, where currently only three utility vehicles are being phased out. That performance was led by the strong performance of the Escalade full-size luxury SUV, which saw increased local unit availability in January.

Accounting for 95 percent of Mexican Cadillac sales, the Escalade continues to cement its position as the best-selling and most important Cadillac vehicle in the Mexican market. In fact, Escalade posted a significant triple-digit sales volume increase during January thanks to a healthy increase in available inventory.

Meanwhile, local sales of the Cadillac XT4 and XT5 crossovers continued to fall, with a drastic contraction reducing their presence to a minimum. What doesn’t help is the fact that the XT6 is not yet on sale in Mexico.
