Bugatti La Voiture Noire Joins The World’s Most Expensive Car On The Drag Strip

With a price tag of €11 million (about $13.4 million at the time), the Bugatti La Voiture Noire was the most expensive new car at launch in 2019 – before being overthrown by Rolls-Royce Boat Tail in 2021.

Besides being provided for one percent of the world’s population, there is one thing these expensive supercars have in common – you won’t see them out in the open, let alone on a drag strip. Then again, Bugatti seen in one, belonging Shmee150. According to Tim, the above event is called the Supercar Owners Circle which toured in Croatia.

While not technically a drag strip, this supercar makes its way through closed and confined sections of the road. Attendees of the event included the aforementioned Bugatti La Voiture Noire, Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro, Pagani Huayra R, and Team’s Zenvo TSR-S.

There is only one Bugatti La Voiture Noire in the world and this is it to please the human eye. The video with the timestamp above marks its first view, but there are two more as you progress through the video. For the record, the Swiss flag visible on the license plate somehow confirms the rumors that the one-off hypercar was registered in Zurich, Switzerland.

Most of the runs done in the “drag strip” are solo runs, but there’s one fight in the middle of the 29-minute video by Shmee. This is a drag race between the Bugatti Chiron and Rimac Nevera around the 18th minute.

With no timer and tape at the end of the line, it’s unclear who won this fight, though it appears the electric hypercar has it in the bag. Whoever wins, Mate Rimac, CEO of the newly formed Bugatti-Rimac, is sure to win.
