Jeep has the model placed under the already small Renegade in development. We don’t know the name of the vehicle yet, but there is speculation that it might revive the Jeepster moniker. The answer will probably come soon as the rumors are that the child model might debut during the 4xe Day event on September 8.
If the new Jeep really debuts on September 8th, then this spy shot might be the last time we see a small vehicle under camouflage. Overall, the model looks a bit like a shrinking Cherokee. The front end is slightly different with the split headlights placing the running light directly under the hood and the headlights slightly lower. There is a narrow slit for the grille and a larger opening in the trapezoid’s lower fascia.

In profile, this new model has a boxy style. The belt line points up near the rear, and the door handles blend into the C-pillar to give the vehicle a cleaner side look.
The rear has a pair of taillights stacked on each side. As you can see in these photos, there is an X-shaped turn signal. A trapezoidal exhaust pipe pokes out from the passenger side.
While not visible in these images, previous galleries show a small tablet-like screen in the cab and physical switches for climate control. Manual gearbox available.
The small Jeep reportedly uses PSA Group’s e-CMP platform, which is already used by models from Citroën, Opel, and Peugeot. The ICE version may use the 1.2 liter turbocharged engine of this other vehicle.
If you’re wondering why a Jeep debut might be a part of the 4xe Day event, it’s because an electric version is also coming. The EV allegedly shares a powertrain with the 2008 Opel Mokka and Peugeot, which will deliver 136 horsepower (100 kilowatts) turning the front wheels. The system will likely use a 50 kilowatt-hour battery.
Jeep reportedly has no intention of selling this small model in the United States. It could be sold in Europe as soon as the first half of 2023.
