new Reuters reports say that Lincoln will launch at least five battery-powered SUVs by 2026. Allegedly, that Reuters attributed to “three people familiar with the plan,” also provided the first details about the product. Ford Motor Company said last year that it would invest $30 billion into its electrification efforts, with plans to electrify the entire Lincoln lineup by 2030. This is our first potential look at what’s to come.
Lincoln will launch its first electric vehicle sometime this year. A teaser from last June showcased the full-width front lighting element on the unnamed model, and the report says the brand’s first EV is slated to go into production in late 2024 or early 2025. It will be the size of the Aviator. The production date is in line with rumors from late last year that production of the electric Aviator has been pushed back to 2024.

There will be a smaller Lincoln EV as well, and the report says they will share their foundation with the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Source does not provide a production timeline for this model. It will also be a better version of the platform. Other EVs could potentially replace the Corsair and Nautilus, which will enter production in 2025-2026. Top of the list is the electrified Navigator, which will enter production in 2026 and share the platform with the F-150 Lightning.
Lincoln is a little late in announcing its electrification plans, but the rumored production schedule presented above isn’t too far behind its competitors. Luxury brands across the industry are at various stages of electrifying their ranks, with the likes of Mercedes leading the way. A Lincoln spokesperson told Reuters that it will not go into details about future vehicles.
We’ll see Lincoln’s EV efforts when it launches the first model later this year. Details are scarce about the new offering, but teaser images make it appear that the car’s design will pick up after Lincoln styling introduces the Zephyr Reflection concept. If that’s the case, it’s bound to have styling that stands out, and it’s going to be the electric powertrain and infotainment software that will help set it apart from other EVs.
