Callaway Supercharged Corvette C8 Preview, Production Begins In 2023

Callaway Cars is no stranger to GM vehicles and the Corvette nameplate. In fact, the two have been in a relationship since 1987 when the Connecticut-based company introduced the first Corvette B2K twin-turbo Regular Production Option (RPO).

To commemorate those long 35 years, Callaway Cars announced the extension of its supercharged vehicle line to the Corvette C8. This is different from the Callaway Corvette 35th Anniversary Edition, which was introduced in March, which comes with a carbon fiber body kit, exhaust, and other upgrades.

Yes, the tuner is developing a supercharged Chevy Corvette Stingray, with a prototype to be shown to attendees Corvettes in Carlisle on 25-28 August 2022.

According to the release, the mid-engine Corvette will be equipped with the TripleCooled Supercharger System configured for the LT2 V8. It will still undergo final engineering, emissions compliance testing, and performance validation, which will occur in the coming months. Production is scheduled to occur in early 2023.

Callaway Cars unlocks upgrades to all LT2-equipped Corvette Stingrays. Series production slots are now available at Callaway’s Connecticut and California facilities, which can be guaranteed with a $1,000 deposit. Through Callaway’s 2nd Chance program, even the 2020-2023 stingrays in service are also eligible for conversion.

Regarding the figures, Callaway Cars has not released any information because the project is still in the development stage. Performance, price and optional equipment will be announced when testing and validation is complete.

Just like other Callaway Cars products, the Corvette C8 Stingray Supercharged comes with a three-year or 36,000-mile powertrain warranty that complements the vehicle’s manufacturer’s warranty. There is also an optional five-year or 60,000-mile Callaway Powertrain Service Contract, with service available at GM dealers.
