2023 Dodge Challenger, Charger Will Get Seven New Models, Heritage Paint

The Dodge Charger and Challenger 2023 mark the end of the line for both models. Automakers are preparing for an electrified future, and that includes next-generation sedans and coupes. Dodge sent the couple with seven new “legacy-influenced” models for next year to celebrate their end.

Dodge didn’t provide details for any of them, only saying that each would share a connection with iconic models from the past. Expect a lot of influence from the muscle car era of the 1960s and 1970s. We’ll get more details on the six new models later this year, with Dodge revealing all seven at the 2022 SEMA Show in November. Dodge said it would be “the last of its kind.”

Dodge will spice up its Challenger and Charger 2023 lineup with more than just a new model. The automaker will be reviving three heritage exterior colors – B5 Blue, Plum Crazy (purple), Sublime (green) – and a modern one – Destroyer Grey. Dodge will offer 14 exterior color options for both models.

The 2023 model year will also see Dodge expand its Jailbreak lineup to include the Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcats. This series removes the color combination limitation and includes other exclusive trim items. Dodge unveiled the Jailbreak SRT specs early last year on the Hellcat Redeye Widebody.

Every 2023 Charger and Challenger will display a “Last Call” commemorative plaque under the hood. It will display the vehicle name and vehicle silhouette while displaying that it is “Designed in Auburn Hills” and “Assembled in Brampton.” The R/T models will get a new “345” fender badge to show the 345-cubic-inch Hemi V8 under the trim hood.

Dodge doesn’t have pricing information for the 2023 model yet, but we know it’s taking a new approach to selling it. Dodge is calling it “The Last Call,” and it will allocate the entire model year 2023 Charger and Challenger to dealers at once. The company will launch a guide to help customers find the vehicle they want. Dodge will release pricing and ordering info closer to the sale date, which remains a mystery for now. We expect more details soon.
