The last Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe Black Series ended production with a flat-plane crank 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces 720 horsepower (537 Kilowatts) and 590 lb-ft (800 Newton meters) of torque. In addition to this powerful engine, the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe Black Series features a number of unique active and fixed aero features that have allowed it to set a production car lap record at the Nürburgring with a time of six minutes and 43 seconds.
The new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe has big shoes to fill, but based on a recent spy video, it looks like we won’t be disappointed. The retention of the V8 along with the possibility of a hybrid will only enhance the performance of this attractive sports car.
