The Cadillac Lyriq 2023 is a very stylish vehicle from the inside out, featuring a myriad of unique details, some of which are inspired by vintage Cadillac models. One of these details is the inclusion of the Cadillac Crest logo on the glass.
Cadillac Society Executive Editor, Alex Luft, recently had hands-on experience with the Cadillac Lyriq 2023, giving us some driving impressions as well as an exclusive and immersive look at even the smallest details of this battery electric crossover cabin (see video below). ). In doing so, he discovered that the Lyriq featured a small Cadillac Crest logo engraved on the vehicle’s windshield. Additionally, Lyriq’s interior design manager, Tristan Murphy, told Luft that the text describing the glass specifications was written in the latest Cadillac font.
What makes these little things so interesting is the fact that all vehicles currently made by Cadillac as well as its parent company, General Motors, all have the GM logo on the windshield. This makes the Lyriq the only Cadillac to feature the marque’s logo on the glass, and also the only GM vehicle overall today to feature the brand-specific logo on the glass.
The Cadillac Lyriq 2023 features a single Ultium motor mounted on the rear axle, delivering 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque for an estimated driving range of 312 miles. Meanwhile, the upcoming Lyriq all-wheel-drive model adds a second motor that boosts total output to over 500 horsepower.
The all-new Lyriq uses the luxury brand’s BEV3 platform, and is assembled at the Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. New units of the battery electric crossover recently started landing in dealers during July 4thth weekend.
