So far, 2021 is considered Ferrari’s best year in terms of sales. More importantly, being a Ferrari employee during the year certainly had its advantages – bonuses totaling up to a gross amount of up to 12,000 euros (about $13,700 at current exchange rates).
Based on Reuters, employee incentives tied to the automaker’s record-breaking sales performance. Italian brand ‘Prancing Horse’ shipped 11,155 cars globally, beating 2020’s figure of 22.3 percent. The company has also beaten its pre-pandemic sales performance, selling 10.1 percent better than 2019.

For the record, Ferrari revealed that orders have been extended to 2023. With the Purosangue SUV poised to launch this year, we expect similar sales performance from Maranello for 2022. For a company that is about to enter the realm of electrification, this is certainly a great way to get out of an era pure gasoline powered sports car.
“We have the strongest order book in our history, up double digits over the previous year and covering through 2023,” commented Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna.
Ferrari is in high demand in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) with 5,492 cars shipped. Nearly 3,000 units were sold in America, while mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan saw 899 new Ferrari owners – a 97 percent growth from 2020.
In its sales report, it is stated that the V8-powered Ferrari model is the most popular in its lineup. These cars saw a 34.6 percent increase in demand, while V12-powered cars saw a decline in interest.
Vigna will reveal the company’s future strategy on capital markets day, scheduled for June 16, 2022. He will prioritize technology partnerships though as the Italian supercar maker dives into electrification.
