Have you ever wondered what a 2022 Ford Focus ST would look like without the load of the speed limit? Thankfully, YouTuber AutoTopNL is here to help test the 2022 Ford Focus ST on the Autobahn without limits.

The fourth-generation Ford Focus C519 debuted in 2018 as the latest addition to Ford’s venerable line of small vehicles. Ford has a tradition of turning the pedestrian Focus into a driver’s car with legendary hatchback trims such as the top-of-the-line Focus ST and Focus RS. In the Autobahn AutoTop NL test we got to see the latest fourth-generation Focus ST in action.

The Fourth Generation Ford Focus was not sold in the United States where Ford decided to discontinue its car line, with the exception of the Mustang, in favor of SUVs and Trucks. Americans can only watch from a distance as we witness the impressive performance of this small hatchback.

The 2022 Ford Focus ST is powered by a 2.3-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine that produces 280 hp (208 Kilowatts) and 310 lb-ft (420 Newton Meters) of torque. This 2.3 liter inline-4 engine is a detuned version of the engine found in the previous generation Ford Focus RS that produces 350 hp (260 Kilowatts) and 350 lb-ft (475 Newton Meters) of torque. The Ford Focus ST comes standard with a 6-speed manual and is also available with a 7-speed automatic torque converter.

In our review of the Ford Focus ST, we found this hot hatch to be an interesting and enjoyable driving experience. This is a hot hatch for drivers who want to experience any speed at the expense of everyday driver comfort.

In the AutoTopNL video, he was able to reach a top speed of 159mph (257 km/h) with relative ease on the Autobahn without limits. Thanks to its impressive acceleration and top speed, the 2022 Ford Focus ST is a handy Autobahn missile.

Would you pick up a Ford Focus ST instead of a Civic Type-R or a Hyundai i30N?
