Ferrari Purosangue Spied During On-Road Testing

[ad_1]

The Purosangue Ferrari SUV was recently spied on testing on the roads near the Ferrari factory in Modena, Italy. This attractive SUV is a first for the Ferrari brand which has spent years developing its new SUV. With a planned release set for the second half of 2022, Ferrari’s first SUV is almost here.

The Ferrari Purosangue SUV will be Ferrari’s first foray into the growing market for ultra-luxury performance SUVs. This will require competition for Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley, and just about every other luxury brand that builds performance SUVs. Ferrari has spent the last few years designing the Purosangue SUV and recently confirmed it will have a new V12 engine.

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna recently confirmed that Ferrari tested many different engine options, but ultimately chose the V12 as the right choice for the market. Ferrari hasn’t confirmed the power figures for the Purosangue SUV or its price, but we suspect that if you have to ask, you can’t afford Ferrari’s new SUV.

Based on a recent spy video from Niki Motorsport, the exhaust note on the new Ferrari Purosangue Ferrari V12 SUV has the same legendary exhaust note as its predecessor. This low-key SUV appears to be more of a high-riding wagon than a traditional SUV. This design will help keep the center of gravity lower than the competition which is great for handling but comes at the expense of ground clearance and storage volume.

Ferrari has yet to set a specific debut date for the Purosangue SUV but stated that we should learn more about its game-changing V12 engine this summer. It makes sense, though, that we should also see the production-ready Purosangue alongside its new V12 engine.

Ferrari is focused on keeping the Purosangue SUV as exclusive as other V12-powered models so expect limited production numbers.

Deliveries of the Purosangue SUV will begin in 2023 and due to the huge demand for the SUV it could become Ferrari’s best-selling model.
