2023 Cadillac Lyriq Will Be Available With Heated Rear Seats

Cadillac Lyriq 2023 will offer heated rear outboard seats, Cadillac Society has learned.

Convenience features are not available for Lyriq Debut Edition. Instead, it will be available later in the year for later models as more trim levels are added to the all-new luxury electric crossover roster. It should be noted that the Debut Edition is based on Cadillac’s Luxury trim, which is considered an entry-level (base) model based on the Y-trim level strategy. With that in mind, a possible higher trim level equivalent to Premium Luxury and/or Sport and other tiers is a work in progress.

The Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition 2023 recently entered production at Cadillac’s Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, with the first units rolling off the assembly line on March 21.st. Spring Hill is capable of producing as many as 200,000 battery electric luxury crossovers annually to meet demand, and Cadillac recently announced plans to increase production of the Lyriq in response to healthy interest.

Riding on the new BEV3 platform, the Cadillac Lyriq Debut Edition 2023 is equipped with a 100.4 kWh Ultium lithium-ion battery pack and a single Drive Ultium motor mounted on the rear axle. The electric driveline is rated at 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, and Cadillac estimates the Lyriq will have a range of 300 miles on a full charge.

While all the Debut Edition models are talked about, actual orders for the Lyriq 2023 (not reservations) will open on May 19.th. At the moment, it’s unclear what trim levels will be available in the near future, but so far, we know that there’s a high-performance model on the way. This model will feature a more powerful drivetrain than the Debut Edition thanks to a second motor mounted on the front axle, enabling all-wheel drive.
