That Forbes The “Best Brands for Social Impact” list was developed in partnership with HundredX, a company specializing in consumer insights and data analysis. The ranking is based on a large-scale online survey conducted throughout 2025, from January to December. More than 200,000 participants provided feedback, resulting in more than 4.5 million individual ratings across approximately 5,500 brands. From this data set, the top 300 brands were selected and included in the list.

Respondents evaluate companies based on first-hand experience, ensuring that the results reflect consumers’ direct perceptions and not just general reputation. For the social impact component, responses were analyzed in four key areas: brand beliefs and values, position on social issues, environmental responsibility, and contribution to local communities. Only brands headquartered in the United States or brands that have a significant presence in the American market are eligible. Ranking and inclusion on the list is determined independently, with no fee required for participation or consideration.
