The exterior is presented in Champagne Metallic (color code 83), a period-appropriate color that emphasizes Aurora’s clean design. Oldsmobile eschewed the boxy shape of its previous sedans, instead adopting a rounded cabin-front profile with minimal ornamentation without the “Oldsmobile” branding. Details include integrated fog lights, illuminated window surrounds, and power-adjustable heated mirrors. A factory sunroof adds to the upscale feel. Six-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels wear Michelin tires, and the car retains anti-lock braking with four-wheel discs and traction control.

Power comes from a 4.0L V8 L47 engine, which produces 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This DOHC V8 was derived from Cadillac’s Northstar architecture but adapted to the Aurora’s front-wheel-drive layout. It’s paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle, sending power to the front wheels. This setup emphasizes smooth delivery and road composure over outright performance, in keeping with the Aurora’s role as a refined touring sedan.
