Earlier this year, Tesla announced plans to discontinue the Model S and Model However, before they bow out, Tesla plans to produce a limited edition version of each, which will be dubbed the Signature Series.
According to Motor Trendthe car gets unique design elements, full-spec Checkered trim, and is invite-only if you want to buy it. The price is likely not cheap either, considering that Tesla owns it has raised the price of remaining supplies of S and.

Reports indicate that the limited edition final model will feature unique Signature Series styling elements. There will be gold exterior badging, checkered seat badges and piping, and the Model S even gets gold brake calipers.
Inside, you’ll also see a plaque on the dashboard showing the number of your vehicle in limited production. Tesla will reportedly produce 250 Model S units and only 100 Model X units.
If you want to buy one, you’ll need an invitation from Tesla to do so. Rumor has it the price ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 each. That represents a pretty healthy markup compared to the current $130k for a fully specced Model X Plaid.
However, this Signature Series car will arrive fully loaded. Each will feature a Luxe Package. This includes free Supercharging for life, four years of maintenance, and what Tesla calls Full-Self Driving.
