Cadillac CT4 Order Books Set To Close Once And For All

Posted on

As year-over-year sales numbers show, the Cadillac CT4 is often overlooked, while its larger sibling, the CT5, gets most of the attention. Maybe that’s why the small sedan has been discontinued with no plans for a replacement, while the small sedan will receive a second generation model. Of course, given the tendencies of human nature, it may only be a matter of time before buyers want something they can’t have: a new CT4.

If this sentiment is giving you a little FOMO, then time to act is running out, as the luxury brand will close its order books for good the week of April 20.th2026. In other words, prospective buyers have about two months to place an order through their dealer.

Of course, rear-wheel-drive passenger cars with 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines are very expensive. However, when it comes to vehicles produced by Cadillac’s parent company, General Motors, the elevated CT4-V is the only non-pickup truck model to offer a 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder engine (production code L3B). Likewise, the CT4-V Blackwing is the only vehicle to use the updated 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine (production code LF4). And, of course, there are very few options when it comes to new vehicles with a manual transmission – which the CT4-V Blackwing offers as standard.

Between its unique powertrain, third pedal, relatively lighter weight, and lower price, the smaller and nimbler CT4-V Blackwing (when compared to the BW’s CT5-V) may be overlooked by enthusiasts, even if (or when?) a second-generation CT5-V Blackwing arrives soon.

If you want a CT4-V Blackwing, you’ll need to act fast. At the time of this writing, inventory is currently at 100 days supply. This translates to about 1,680 cars, which includes 2025 and 2026 model year units of the CT4, CT4-V, and CT4-V Blackwing. Even so, the large number of units equipped with manual transmissions is certainly a rare sight.

For reference, searches for new CT4-V Blackwing sedans equipped with a manual transmission are less than 73 available nationwide. That number grows to over 1,687 when searching for a new CT4 in any configuration. The numbers may seem like a lot, but once buyers realize the limited supply, the aforementioned human nature may strike and wipe out the remaining supply sooner than expected.
