2022 Cadillac Escalade Radiant And Onyx Packages Unavailable To Order

[ad_1]

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade is not currently available to order with the Radiant Package or the Onyx plan due to supplier issues, Cadillac Society has learned.

The Radiant Package and the Onyx Package include a variety of exterior aesthetic enhancements that include unique trim and cosmetic features. The Onyx package (production code PDB) is an LPO-level option, indicating that it was installed at the dealer rather than at the factory. The Onyx Package features for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade are as follows (relevant production code in brackets):

    • Cadillac Monocrome (SFZ) Emblem
    • Glossy black Escalade (RIK) signage
    • 22-inch 12-spoke alloy wheels, Gloss Black (SSX) finish

Where available, the Onyx Package is offered at the Escalade Sport for $2,510, or at the Escalade Sport Platinum for $2,375.

The Radiant package (PDV production code) is also a PUT level option. The Radiant package for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade includes the following features (relevant production code in brackets):

    • 22-inch Chrome 12-spoke alloy wheels (SET)
    • Bright Sport mesh grille with Galvano surround (SJ9)
    • Cadillac Monochrome (SFZ) Emblem

Where available, the Radiant Package can be ordered for the Escalade Premium Luxury trim level, which costs $3,910, or on the Premium Luxury Platinum trim level, which costs $3,775.

At the time of this writing, it is unclear when the Onyx Package and Radiant Package will be available to order on the 2022 Cadillac Escalade again, but our sources indicate that the package is not available due to the constraints of the wheels included in both packages. It should be noted that the previous two sets of wheels are not available during calendar year 2021.

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade is the second model year of the fifth-generation luxury SUV and offers two engine options. The first is a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine (production code L87), which makes 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The second is the 3.0L I6 turbodiesel (production code LM2), making 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both engine options are mated to a Cadillac 10-speed automatic transmission.
