Cadillac InnerSpace Concept Design Sketches Released

The Cadillac design team recently released several sketches made during the development of the recently revealed Cadillac InnerSpace concept vehicle.

The Cadillac InnerSpace is a two-seater, coupe-like concept vehicle created by the luxury brand to help envision a future of autonomous and luxury travel. It uses the latest technology to “improve the passenger experience along with the increased personal time made possible by fully autonomous mobility.” InnerSpace gives passengers their time back, allowing them to focus on other tasks during the trip instead of busy driving.

InnerSpace features an advanced AI assistant, along with a curved panoramic LED screen for entertainment or augmented reality viewing. All of this technology can be accessed from one of the two comfortable reclining seats located in the vehicle cabin.

The first sketch shows the appearance of the aforementioned seats, which are placed in front of the dashboard and curved screen. There’s also a niche and speaker grille for the high-end AKG audio system, as well as an illuminated Cadillac script badge on the door sill.

Another design sketch shows a cross-section of what appears to be a different Cadillac concept vehicle. The same two reclining seats seen in the present InnerSpace, but this rendering features wraparound bench seats within the vehicle’s cabin, suggesting that it may have been designed with the six-passenger SocialSpace concept (formerly known as the Personal Autonomous Vehicle) in mind.

The Cadillac InnerSpace was unveiled at CES 2022 as part of a virtual event. It is part of the Cadillac Halo Concept Portfolio, which represents Cadillac’s foray into the world of hands-free driving. Three other vehicles accompany it in the portfolio, including the previously mentioned SocialSpace, the single-seat PersonalSpace (VTOL) glyph, and the yet-to-be-launched OpenSpace.
