Cadillac Blackwing Owners Can Get Individual Carbon Fiber Replacements

The Cadillac Blackwing ultra-high-performance sedan is offered with an optional carbon fiber package that adds a variety of carbon fiber components to the vehicle’s exterior for added visuals and higher levels of downforce. As of this writing, the only way to get a pack is to build it with a vehicle, meaning it’s not possible to buy a pack after purchasing the vehicle. As a result, several Blackwing owners have contacted us to inquire about a hypothetical scenario in which a single carbon fiber component is damaged in their vehicle. Does the owner, in this case, have to purchase the contents of the entire package to replace one part?

We contacted Cadillac, and were told by a spokesperson that there was no need to buy the entire carbon fiber package to get a replacement part. Blackwing owners can request individual carbon fiber components to replace damaged ones, with the process taking place through Cadillac dealers.

“If one part is faulty, customers can request to receive a replacement part through their dealer instead of ordering another complete package,” a Cadillac spokesperson said. This option is only available to current Cadillac Blackwing owners who have installed the Carbon Fiber Package in their vehicle.

That said, the acquisition of these carbon fiber components proved difficult. As Cadillac Society It was recently reported that the two Carbon Fiber packages for the 2022 Cadillac Blackwing super sedan had problems. This includes Carbon Fiber Package 1 and Carbon Fiber Package 2, available for the CT4-V Blackwing or CT5-V Blackwing under normal circumstances, respectively. It is currently unclear what factors are responsible for the limited availability of the Carbon Fiber Package, or when these constraints will ease.

It should be noted that Carbon Fiber Package 2 on both Cadillac Blackwing models requires the addition of Carbon Fiber Package 1.
