The Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance system is no longer available to order for the 2022 Cadillac CT5, Cadillac Society has learned.
Previously, the Super Cruise could be equipped on CT5 units with Premium Luxury and Sport trims, along with the high-performance CT5-V. It is not available at all on the Luxury (base) or CT5-V Blackwing models with the highest range.
On available models, the Super Cruise is part of two optional packages. The Super Cruise 1 package costs $3,600 to complement the CT5 Premium Luxury, Sport and CT5-V models and requires a $1,060 Climate Package (production code Y6F). It includes the following content (relevant production code listed in brackets):
- Super Cruise Ship (UKL)
- 12″ diagonal HD color reconfigurable driver cluster (UDV)
- Leather-wrapped Super Cruise steering wheel (N30)
- HD Surround Vision (UV2)
- Steering wheel-mounted paddle shift control for Premium Luxury (KB7) models only
Super Cruise is also included as part of the Super Cruise Package 2. This package includes the following content (relevant production code in brackets):
- Super Cruise Ship (UKL)
- Leather-wrapped horn pads, exclusive to Premium Luxury and Sport models
- Technology Pack (CWM)
- Lighting Package (HME)
- Bose Premium Audio Packages and Navigation (Y26)
- Climate Package (Y6F)
- Leather-wrapped Super Cruise steering wheel (N30)
- HD (UV2) surround vision
The Super Cruise 2 package costs $6,940 for the Premium Luxury, and $7,040 for the Sport model. This requires a $1,790 Parking Package (production code Y6L) on the Premium Luxury, Sport and CT5-V models, along with a $3,920 Premium Package (production code PCK) on the CT5-V.
Additionally, the Super Cruise 2 Package requires a Premium Luxury model featuring a 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 engine (production code LGY) with all-wheel-drive (production code F46).
At this time, it’s unclear what caused the Super Cruise to be unavailable for the rest of the 2022 model year for the Cadillac CT5. Earlier this year, the luxury brand announced that the Super Cruise would be temporarily removed from the sedan. We expect the feature to return for the 2023 model year, as the supply of various components such as microchips increases.
