Corvette Z06, Porsche 911 GT3, Audi R8 V10, and Ducati V4 SP2 Drag Race

Rear-wheel drive performance cars using large-capacity naturally aspirated, mid-mounted combustion engines without electrification look set to disappear. Between EVs and forced induction, automakers are finding alternative ways to build high-powered engines. However, this video shows that the Audi R8 V10 Performance Spyder, Chevrolet Corvette Z06, and Porsche 911 GT3 still offer plenty of straight-line speed. The R8 V10 is in the middle of the pack. This isn’t the new limited-run GT RWD but it still packs 562 hp (419 kW) and 406 lb-ft (551 Nm) from its 5.2-liter engine.

The 911 GT3 with its 4.0-liter flat-six is ​​the least powerful car in the bunch, but don’t count it out of the races. The factory produced 502 hp (374 kW) and 346 lb-ft (469 Nm). As a motorcycle, the Panigale V4 SP2 is an outsider of this group. Professional racer Josh Herrin is in the saddle. Deliveries begin in North America in the fourth quarter of 2022 with a base price of $39,500.

Ducati offers the motorcycle with the optional full-titanium Akrapovic. He’s lost 11 pounds. Plus, power output increases to 228 hp (170 kW) and 96.6 lb-ft (131 Nm).
