The 3,300-HP Dodge Viper Does A Quarter Mile In 6.68 Seconds At 220 MPH

This is a Viper with a very strong bite. This car has the nickname Juggernaut and is the fastest Viper in the world. As the video shows, it is capable of covering the quarter mile in 6.68 seconds at 220.1 miles per hour (354.22 kilometers per hour).

The Juggernaut is a 2001 Viper but has the driveline from the fifth-generation model, which was the 2013 to 2017 model years. The block and head for the V10 engine is stock, but now replaces the 9.0-liter instead of the original 8.4-liter. A pair of 88-millimeter Garrett turbos help the power plant generate about 3,300 horsepower (2,461 kilowatts). It drinks ethanol fuel.

It’s also not a very light car. For a 6.68-second quarter-mile run, the scales show 3,926 pounds (1,781 kilograms).

The video shows some of the Juggernaut’s other quarter-mile runs. It is capable of repeated runs in a high six-second span while traveling over 200 mph (322 kph).

The clip also features several other high-horsepower Vipers. One of them with the name Kratos and currently for roll racing. No problem making it go over 200 mph. We cover the car in 2021 when the vehicle attends the FL2k racing event in Florida.

There’s no sign of Dodge reviving the Viper anytime soon. Instead, the brand’s future performance in the near future is the Daytona SRT Charger Concept. The muscle car arrives in 2024. At launch, buyers can choose from power outputs ranging from 455 hp (340 kW) to 670 hp (500 kW). Later, the Banshee model will be available with more than 800 hp (597 kW).

However, it is still possible to get a new Viper if you look around. The vehicle is one of the few that still appears in the automaker’s sales reports, even though production ended several years ago. In the second quarter of 2022, Dodge sold one Viper. The company shipped four of them in 2020 and again in 2021.
