Bentley Bentayga Odyssean Edition Debuts With Sustainable Cabin Materials

The inaugural Bentley Bentayga Odyssean Edition with sustainability goals for 70 limited-production units worldwide. All of them use a recently updated hybrid powertrain.

The Odyssean Edition cabin features a unique blend of more eco-friendly materials. The main upholstery is sustainably sourced leather. All of these vehicles get skins in Autumn and Linen shades. Buyers can choose a third color from hues Beluga, Porpoise, Cricketball, Brunel, or Burnt Oak.

Open porous Koa wood adorns the cabin. The material has only three coats of varnish for a total thickness of 0.00394 inches (0.1 millimeters). It is 90 percent less varnish than Bentley’s high gloss option and allows occupants to see more of the wood’s natural texture.

The wool in areas such as the back of the chair is entirely English wool.

Front Seat Comfort Specifications maximize passenger comfort. The seats are 22-way adjustable, heated and ventilated.

Odyssean also gets a Tour Specs package. It adds adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and traffic assistance.

On the outside, a subtle Pale Brodgar color like bronze appears on the bumper trim, headlights, taillights and underbody accents. The same color is on the 22-inch alloy wheels with 10 bars. Buyers can choose from more than 60 colors in the Bentley palette for the rest of the body.

The recently updated Bentayga Hybrid now packs an 18.0 kilowatt-hour battery pack to replace the previous 13 kWh unit. This allowed for a small increase in EV-only range to 27 miles (43 kilometers) in the WLTP test, versus 25 miles (40 kilometers) for the original iteration.

Bentayga Hybrid still uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine. However, the total system output increased slightly to 456 horsepower (340 kilowatts), which is an increase from the previous 443 hp (326 kW).

Along with the powertrain upgrade, Bentley introduced two new versions of the Bentayga Hybrid. The Grade S has a more aggressive styling, stiffer suspension and a deeper exhaust sound. Azure focuses on luxury by coming standard with 22-way front seats, diamond upholstery upholstery, 15 leather tones and three wood trim colors.
