Fix For 2023 Cadillac Lyriq Cracked Liftgate Panel Issued

Cadillac and its parent company, General Motors, have launched a customer satisfaction program to address an issue associated with a cracked rear liftgate panel on certain Cadillac Lyriq 2023 units.

Problem: Affected Cadillac Lyriq 2023 units may have an issue in which interior trim panels formed from liftgate assemblies are susceptible to cracking in cold ambient temperatures.

Danger: there are no security issues associated with this issue.

The fix: dealer technicians will replace the liftgate assembly with a new unit, requiring removal of the top rear spoiler, two interior trim panels, lock lock assembly and latch cover from the original liftgate assembly.

Affected components: rear elevator door panels.

Affected vehicles: 2023 Cadillac Lyriq.
