Lenny Kravitz Looking Forward To The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq

The Cadillac Celestiq 2024 ultra-luxury electric sedan was recently launched in production form, offering a wide range of customization options that will make each example unique based on the customer’s wishes. Shortly after the reveal, music artist Lenny Kravitz was certainly looking forward to the upcoming flagship sedan and took to the luxury marque’s Twitter account to voice his excitement about it.

“I grew up around Cadillacs,” Kravitz said in a short video posted on Cadillac’s social media. “The thing that always strikes me is the lines… the style, the splendor.”

Kravitz joins Michael Simcoe, vice president of global design for Cadillac parent General Motors, in saying that Cadillac has become the world standard.

“People talk about the ‘Cadillac,'” Simcoe said. The luxury brand wanted to design something to bring its products back to those heights, and the electrification of its lineup provided the perfect canvas to do so. Thus, the bespoke Cadillac Celestiq 2024 was born.

As far as Celestiq’s customization options go, Kravitz says he’s really excited to see where he can go with it. He wanted his Celestiq to “have the edge”, and be something that could be seen decades into the future and still impress. He chose interior patterns that evoke images of nature, such as animal prints.

“It’s wonderful that I can step out of my life and the aesthetic values I’ve placed in my life and walk into the car and have the same experience moving on the road,” Kravitz said. “Having the opportunity to make a car that reflects my personality, dark and moody and tough while having beautiful classic lines… I really can’t wait to drive it.”

The Cadillac Celestiq 2024 is equipped with a 111 kWh battery pack and a dual motor all-wheel-drive propulsion system. Cadillac estimates this setup will be good for a maximum driving range of 300 miles on a single charge while delivering 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque. Interested customers can expect to shell out at least $300,000 for the ultra-luxury electric sedan, which will be handcrafted at the GM Global Technical Center.
