To some extent, the Ferrari SF90 Spider plays in a league of its own. The open-top plug-in hybrid supercar is unmatched in terms of power and performance and it’s probably safe to say it’s currently one of the fastest and most attractive convertibles money can buy. However, for some customers, the power stock level is not enough and that’s where Novitec comes to help with added zest.
Tuning specialists developed a new engine mapping exclusively for the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, producing an additional 109 horsepower (80 kilowatts). There is also a new high performance exhaust system with a metal catalyst which further aids the combustion engine.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain includes three electric motors and with Novitec input, system output increases from the factory 986 hp (725 kW) to 1,109 hp (816 kW). This new power figure cuts 0.1 seconds in acceleration from 0 to 62 miles per hour (0-100 kilometers per hour) to 2.4 seconds. Top speed increased to over 211 mph (340 kph).

New exhaust systems can be purchased with or without an electronic sound management system with an active control valve in the pipeline. Novitec says the focus on the exhaust system falls on performance and delivers “thrilling exhaust notes.” As an optional touch, there’s an upgraded 112-millimeter exhaust with carbon inserts as a visual upgrade.
Speaking of visual upgrades, Novitec is offering a carbon fiber aerodynamic body kit, which includes a new center spoiler with removable side sections on the front fascia. There is another spoiler at the rear and the diffuser is integrated into the rear fascia. These components not only give the SF90 Spider a more aggressive look but also help it generate more downforce at high speeds for improved stability and handling. The supercar also sports new 21-inch Vossen wheels with 255/30 front tires and 325/25 rear tires.
Regarding the interior, Novitec said whatever the customer wants can be achieved. For the SF90 Spider, the tuning company is offering a new selection of Alcantara skins in “almost any color”.
