General Motors announced the launch of Chevrolet’s official online store in Chile, expanding the brand’s digital experience in the South American country.

The automaker’s Chilean subsidiary recently opened Chevrolet’s official store at Mercado Librethe leading e-commerce platform in Chile and the region. This new strategic alliance marks a new era of digital vehicle sales in the country. Thus, the Bowtie brand becomes the first automotive company to launch an official store for its new vehicles in a key market in the South American country.

“Being the first automotive brand to implement this new sales model through Chileans’ favorite market reflects our commitment to innovation and customer convenience,” said GM Chile Country Manager, Patricio Gómez. “This partnership allows us to offer a simpler and more complete experience for consumers, giving them access to our extensive product portfolio and superior service from our dealer network across the country, all in one click,” he added.

Notably, the alliance between Chevrolet and Mercado Libre that launched the first official new vehicle store on the platform opened a new avenue for marketing the brand’s vehicles in Chile. Chevy’s digital store will allow users to access its portfolio of 16 models, view trim levels and colors in one listing, detailed technical specifications and information, image catalogues, and direct contact with dedicated personnel.

Chevrolet stated that this alliance represents a decisive step in strengthening its presence in the market where most of the automotive purchasing process in Chile now begins. With more than 170 million monthly visits and more than 14 million registered users in the country, Mercado Libre has established itself as a leading marketplace and digital entry point for millions of Chilean consumers.

“With the launch of the official Chevrolet store, we are taking a firm step in the evolution of the Vehicle category at Mercado Libre Chile. Our goal is to consolidate our position as the leading digital destination for vehicle purchases,” said Mercado Libre Vehicle Manager Nicolás Mujica. “Together with Chevrolet, we are starting a new era in the country’s digital automotive market, cultivating a more complete and transparent experience, in line with the way users find and choose their next vehicle today,” he said.
