If you forgot about Gemera, we wouldn’t blame you. The Swedish four-passenger hypercar from Koenigsegg was first launched in 2020. It’s finally headed to production now.
Although their vehicles move very fast, production at Koenigsegg moves a little slower. However, the company has recently expanded its production line, so Gemera is getting closer to its delivery date to customers.

Koenigsegg, posting to its Facebook page, stated that the Gemera line is ready and running alongside CC850 assembly. The two will soon be joined by Sadair Spear. Gemera buyers must be excited by this news, as they have waited at least six years to get to this point.
Despite the long wait, the driving dynamics of this car are sure to be incredible. After all, this is a car that Koenigsegg calls the Mega-GT. Power comes from a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and a trio of electric motors.
The combined output is an impressive 2,300 horsepower and 2,028 pound-feet of torque. Each electric motor in the back produces 500 hp. At the front, the Dark Matter motorbike is capable of producing 800 hp of power on its own. It’s not just a cool name, but an extraordinary piece of engineering.
Koenigsegg uses carbon fiber to reduce the weight of various components of the Dark Matter motorbike. The total weight is only 86 pounds.
All power is channeled to all four wheels thanks to a nine-speed gearbox dubbed the Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission.
The Gemera is Koenigsegg’s first four-passenger vehicle. And if you take your family out for a walk, chances are they’ll scream at you to slow down once they catch their breath.
The Gemera will go from 0 to 60 mph in less than two seconds. Top speed will be well above the 200 mph mark. And an 11-speaker sound system will help drown out the screams of people sitting in the other three seats.
Motor Pickup1: Yes, Gemera will take some time to enter production. The only people who might be disappointed are the 300 people who are rich enough and have already ordered it.
Regardless, this car is an engineering marvel, and we look forward to seeing what it’s capable of once it’s released into the wild.
