Following a long line of previous automakers, China’s Xiaomi has designed its own Vision Gran Turismo hypercar. This is the 51st Vision Gran Turismo concept vehicle for a video game franchise—and possibly one of the coolest.
This sleek electric hypercar features advanced aerodynamic elements, such as the Active Wake Control System. This generates air at the rear of the vehicle, and through micro-holes around the taillights, it pushes turbulent airflow away from the rear.

Xiaomi also has a wild Accretion Rim. These are vortex-shaped wheel covers with turbine fins inside that draw in air to cool the brakes. Magnets keep the cover stationary while the vehicle is moving, reducing drag. According to the company, the car has a drag coefficient of 0.29.
Inside, Xiaomi tries to create a “Sofa Racer.” The dashboard, seats and door panels form a circle around the cabin, which has a thin screen at the base of the windshield. There’s a racing-inspired screen on the steering wheel, a five-point harness and a row of physical switches between the seats.
The car is equipped with sensors that monitor the environment and the driver, and is able to adapt the vehicle to the driver’s mood. It has AI, steer-by-wire, and all the other features you’d expect from a futuristic video game concept car. The company even envisions a driving simulator based on the concept.
