If you want to live #vanlife in a unique way, check out this custom Ford E-350 with a pair of tall chimneys and a large fuel tank. It’s for sale on Facebook in Iowa at an asking price of $17,000.
The owner has owned this van for over 20 years. It started out as an E-250, but this guy turned it into an E-350 with a dual-wheel rear axle, including using the correct fender flares to cover the wider layout. Brakes and suspension also got an upgrade. The 460-cubic-inch (7.54-liter) Ford V8 replaces the original 351-cubic-inch (5.75-liter) powerplant. It runs through an automatic gearbox.

This Ford van features an attractive black-silver color scheme with red stripes. The high exhaust stack works. According to the listing, they didn’t make the van make any loud noises, and the seller called it “very nice and soft tone.” The vertical sections can be removed if one wants a more refined appearance. A ladder at the rear offers access to a roof rack for extra storage at the rear.
The fuel tank along the side works. It can carry 60 gallons (227.1 liters) of gasoline.
Inside, there are two rows of captain’s seats, and the third row is the bench seats. The thick gray carpet was on the floor. Wooden panels decorate the walls. Large tinted windows give passengers a wide view from the side of the vehicle. Along the roof and back walls, there are black panels with diamond-shaped embroidery.
Amenities include a backup camera and a Bluetooth-enabled stereo. There are also accent lighting along the walls.
The listing says “fan runs fantastic.” The seller reported making a two, 5,000 mile round trip to Oregon and had no problems with the vehicle.
