The Porsche Cayenne facelift is in progress. To whet our appetite, here’s a set of spy shots as the updated SUV is undergoing some winter tests. Better yet, our spy photographer was able to get close to the updated model, giving us a close-up view.
As seen in the set of photos below, the hides on the headlights are placed around the headlights and on the lower bumper. They make the headlights look bigger, while we’re still guessing what the Porsche is hiding in the corner of the front corner. Beyond the concealment, we can already see what’s new on the front when compared to the previous model.

The back is an interesting place. There’s a large amount of tape used to hide the strip that cuts through the tailgate, meaning the German brand is using an update to the taillight graphics. It also looks like the taillights are bigger than before, almost reaching the center of the tailgate. The turn signals on the rear are clearly visible, but the extent of the changes is still a mystery at this point.
Inside, updates are not visible with this batch of photos. Previous spy shots show a new infotainment system and fewer physical buttons, plus updated gearshift a la Porsche 911.
Updates to the powertrain haven’t been revealed at this point, but you can expect Porsche to slightly increase the power figures for the Cayenne facelift. There’s also an update coming for the swoopy Cayenne Coupe. The facelifted Porsche Cayenne is expected to debut this year. We’ll keep you updated when we hear about the exact schedule.
Meanwhile, the US is getting a Platinum Edition for the Porsche Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe, for those who don’t want to wait for the latest version.
