Caterham is back with a range of new legacy models, which include two products from the Super Seven lineup. The Super Seven 600 and Super Seven 2000 will both be sold in the UK, while the latter will also be available in the US at a later date. Both cars can be purchased as a kit and fully built.

The Super Seven 600 is powered by a Suzuki 0.6 liter turbo engine that produces a peak output of 84 horsepower (63 kilowatts) as found in the Seven 170 model. The sports car uses a live axle chassis and can accelerate from rest to 62 miles per hour. (0-100 kilometers per hour) in just 6.9 seconds.

The more powerful version is equipped with a 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine with 180 hp (134 kW). The vehicle is mechanically linked to the Seven 360 and both share the de-Dion chassis found as seen in many other models from the British company. The sprint to 62 mph (100 kph) took 4.8 seconds. Customers looking for better track performance can order an optional sports suspension package with rear anti-roll bars and four-piston ventilated front seats.

Visually, the two Super Seven models represent a fusion of Caterham styles from the 1970s and 1980s. This is best seen on the flared front fender, hiding 14-inch wheels with a vintage design. Both vehicles are equipped with Avon ZT7 tires and polished exhaust pipes, as well as LED taillights for a modern touch.

Sit behind the black leather steering wheel and you’ll see a carpeted rear panel, available in several different colors to match the leather seats, dashboard, gearbox tunnel and handbrake gaiters. Some of these colors are exclusive to the new Super Seven series and are not currently available for other Caterham products.

As noted above, the Super Seven 600 and Super Seven 2000 will be available in the UK. Only the more powerful variant is coming in the United States, although no pricing is available yet. In the UK, the Super Seven 600 starts at £29,990, while the Super Seven 2000 starts at £39,990. Both prices are for cars in component kit format.
