Aehra is a new EV automaker with headquarters in Milan, Italy, and a staff that includes former Lamborghini chief designer Filippo Perini. The company’s first product is an ultra-premium electric SUV that appears to have butterfly doors in the front and gullwing openings for the rear. The full debut of this vehicle is in October, but this teaser rendering is a chance to see what’s to come.
The renders show a vehicle that doesn’t look like a traditional SUV. The nose is short and slanted downwards. A curved slit occupies the front end, and the headlights are on the outer edge of this area.

The rear has a steep window running down the tail with a short overhang. The taillights consist of a thin red stripe on the deck lid and under the bumper.
“Aehra’s first SUV model seamlessly blends the unparalleled elegance of Italian design with the best of global materials and engineering to bring about change throughout the customer journey,” said Aehra Head of Design Filippo Perini.
The company’s teaser doesn’t give any hints about the electric SUV’s powertrain or battery technology. In comparison, competitors such as the EQS SUV in Europe were able to cover a distance of 373 miles (600 kilometers) in the WLTP test. In the US, Tesla Model X can cover 348 miles (560 kilometers) on a single chargeaccording to the EPA.
Aehra has lofty goals. It wants to compete with EVs from Tesla, Lucid, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Porsche. The company plans to launch its SUV and sedan in 2025. Prices for both will range between $160,000 and $180,000. China, Europe, the Gulf States, and North America will get the vehicles first. The automaker expects to ship 15,000 to 25,000 units in the first 12 months of sales.
The company’s team also includes Alessandro Serra, former group manager for European advanced design at Genesis. Stefano Mazzetti, formerly of Ferrari, led the purchase and procurement of the Aehra.
Following the launch of the SUV in October, the Aehra will debut its sedan in February 2023.
