The BMW M8 Competition Coupe 2023, Competition Convertible, Competition Gran Coupe are here to update the lineup with new interior technologies, optional M Carbon bucket seats and expanded color options. The non-Competition version of this model is no longer available.
A minor exterior styling change is that the LED headlights now get M Shadowline inserts which add dark accents to the headlights.

Shoppers can order the M8 model in the new available colors Skyscraper Grey, Brooklyn Grey, and Isle of Man Green. Tanzanite Blue II and Frozen Pure Gray combine in the BMW Individual palette.
Like other M products for the 2022 calendar year, this vehicle is available with the old-school BMW Motorsport logo on the hood, trunk and center wheel covers as options. The regular BMW roundel is still an option for people who prefer that look.
Moving inside, the center infotainment display in the M8 Competition model now measures 12.3 inches instead of the previous 10.25 inches. That is, it is now the same size as a digital instrument cluster.
The updated lineup is available with the optional M Carbon bucket seat. They feature carbon fiber reinforced plastic parts, large bolsters, and a illuminated M8 badge on the integrated headrest. The seats are heated and electrically adjusted.
The carbon seat upholstery consists of full merino leather and Alcantara trim. Available in a combination of Black and Midrand Beige or Black and Sakhir Orange color schemes. If you order these black Alcantara seats, BMW has also added black Alcantara on the dashboard and top door panels.

The powertrain for the M8 Competition model remains unchanged. They use a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 617 horsepower (460 kilowatts) and 553 pound-feet (750 Newton-meters) of torque. The eight-speed automatic sends power to the all-wheel-drive system. This setting allows acceleration to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 3.0 seconds. Top speed is 190 mph (306 kph) with the optional M Driver Package.
Production of the upgraded M8 Competition range for the United States begins in March 2022. After a destination cost of $995, the coupe is $130,995; The Gran Coupe is $130,995; and the convertible is $140,495.
