Aeromaster’s Formula 1-Inspired Off-Road Buggy Looks Cool And Weird

Formula 1 is the pinnacle of on-road racing, an international motorsport that features several professional drivers in the spotlight. F1 cars are known for their engineering and design, which make them a source of inspiration for aspiring builders around the world.

One of them is Aeromaster from Bulgaria. And while the company is known for making clones of the Bentley Speed 8 LMP race car, the owners took their Formula 1 inspiration for another dream project – rally assault, off-road buggy.

Yes, it looks weird, but we can’t help but appreciate it after about five minutes of staring.

Obviously, the goal was to create a unique looking off-road buggy. Aeromaster has managed to do so with this prototype as it is very different from its contemporaries. The shape itself is insane, with the choice of livery – like a mix between a Tamiya RC car, an old F1 car, and a fighter jet.

“The aim of our design was to use Formula 1 cars as inspiration, because I’ve always loved the beautiful look of F1 cars, also the main ingredients of formula 1: aerodynamic and smooth silhouette lines, speed, excitement and performance, with the advent of this sport narrative etc., ” says Aeromaster on its website.

Of course, not all inspiration from F1. The makers also say they incorporated some Baja race car styling into the design. Powering this unique buggy is the center-mounted longitudinal 4.2-liter V8.

This train with butterfly doors is definitely not for everyone. The makers knew that, and called the rally stampede a “years-old mad dream come true.”
