The Mitsubishi ASX 2023 premiered in Europe as a compact crossover offering ICE, hybrid and PHEV variants. Sales begin in March 2023.

The ASX sports a very sculpted exterior style. Up front, the vehicle’s grille has bracket-shaped trim, and the headlights are intricately shaped with hook-shaped running lights below the headlights. The crossover comes in six colors, and the top-level trim is available with a black roof.

Depending on the trim level, the ASX cabin can look very different. The entry-level model gets an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch screen between gauges. There’s also a 7.0-inch digital instrument display or a 10.25-inch version for the tallest models.

The standard infotainment screen measures 7.0 inches and has a landscape layout. As an upgrade, there’s a 9.3-inch portrait layout display that supports Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.

The ASX rides on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance CMF-B platform. Five powertrains are available. The table below lists the specifications for each:

For safety, all ASX models get emergency brake assistance, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition and parking assistance. Higher level trims get blind spot assistance, active lane departure warning, and speed warning. The range-topping models come with adaptive cruise control and active track-following assistance.

Mitsubishi has yet to offer pricing details for the new ASX. Expect those details to arrive closer to the crossover’s launch.
