Sales of Cadillac Mexico fell 26 percent to 88 units in August 2022 compared to August 2021.

During the first eight months of calendar year 2022, Cadillac Mexico sales increased nine percent to 936 units.

Cadillac Society Take
Sales of Cadillac Mexico recorded another notable decline in August as a result of lower availability of its best-selling model in the Mexican market. Thus, the new decline is Cadillac’s third consecutive contraction in Mexico, the only country in Latin America where the luxury brand is officially marketed.
As for the previous two months, the negative results seen in August were led by double-digit declines in the best-selling Cadillac Escalade. The full-size luxury SUV has fewer units available in Mexico, while still comfortably being the most popular model in the country. For its part, the Cadillac XT5 saw a slight decline, keeping sales volumes low – a situation that has become customary in Mexico.
In contrast, the Cadillac XT4 was the only one of three utility vehicles Cadillac offered in Mexico that managed to go green during August. The crossover, which a few years ago was the marque’s best-selling model, doubled its registration. counting for the month of August. Even so, last month’s performance wasn’t enough to bring it out of the red for year-to-date results.
