Chrysler 300C 2023 Debuts Today: Watch Live Stream

The Chrysler 300 is well on its way to a well-deserved retirement as 2023 is expected to be the final year of a full-size sedan. It will come out with a proverbial bang by featuring a more powerful engine over the standard 5.7 liter HEMI V8 model with 363 hp (271 kW) and 394 lb-ft (534 Nm). The teaser campaign strongly suggests the 300C will return as a limited special edition.

The wrapper is coming today and Chrysler claims “something strong is coming.” From previous teasers, we’ve known that the 300C will be available in limited quantities, which makes sense since it’s likely to be a 2023MY specialty. This is the first 300C version of the second generation of the big sedan, but we won’t hold our breath for the Hellcat treatment.

Realistically, the Chrysler 300C 2023 could feature a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 from the Charger Scat Pack with 485 hp (362 kW) and 475 lb-ft (644 Nm) of power. It remains to be seen if these output figures will carry over, but we see no reason why not. As a side note, the mechanically linked Dodge sedan also offered to say goodbye after 2023MY, but not before the “Last Call” series of models.

Improved Brembo brakes have been revealed in a teaser ahead of the 300C’s debut today on the eve of the 2022 North American International Auto Show. Chrysler has likely tweaked the suspension as well for sharper handling, along with fitting a more aggressive-sounding exhaust to earn that “C” badge. Just like the Charger Scat Pack, the eight-speed automatic will likely direct engine power to the rear wheels.

As for how much it will cost, be prepared to pay a premium over the available 300S V8 for 2022MY from $45,350. Considering all the mechanical and visual upgrades, limited production, and 2023MY as the last year, the asking price could significantly exceed the $50,000 threshold.
